- Filmmakers must have a Crook county Deshutes County or Jefferson County address
- You will need to submit a film that you have made or make a film to show you are capable of filmmaking. You must upload the video to our website so our judges can view it (any genre is acceptable, i.e. narrative, documentary, action, etc...). However, videos must be tasteful for all audiences (fitted for regular TV).
- Our panel of judges will select the top 5 films to enter in to the contest.
- Those who make it will be given a set of parameters for the film that you will be making for the finals.
- You will be given 4 weeks to write a script, cast your characters, shoot and edit your film.
- The top ten filmmakers films will be shown at (TBA). (along with a short bio. of the filmmaker) Two films per night over a 5 week period.
- The top five filmmakers films will be available to watch on our website (filmmakerswanted.com) and on Bend Broadband VOD so people can vote for their favorite film.
- We will be running TV and radio ads to drive people to the website and Bend broadband VOD.
- We will have an award ceremony at the Cascade Village shopping center and we will show all the top 5 films in the order of the votes.
- Winners will receive excellent prizes. 3rd place will receive $200 gift card 2nd place will receive a $500 gift card. 1st place winner will receive a brand new Sony HD camera (retail $800) and a $200 gift card
- All videos submitted to Filmmakers Wanted will grant Filmmakers Wanted to right to use the video content without question, to promote and showcase the Filmmakers Wanted contest.
