Filmmakers Wanted is a fun new film contest created by Blue Screen Video and Film (Bend, Oregon) and Bend BroadBand, which is open to all aspiring filmmakers in the Central Oregon area. There are no limitations on age or skill level, this contest is excellent way for students and amateur filmmakers to get motivated and get your work noticed. So get out there, be creative and deliver your highest quality work. Films should be well thought out (scripted, storyboard, etc...), digitally captured, and edited. Once you have completed your short film (no longer than 10 minutes), upload it to filmmakerswanted.com and it will be available to view on the website in no time. Then send a copy of it in DVD format to the contest address.

Note:

if you have ever made a film, music video, ski video and your mom liked it or your friend though it was cool, enter it. This is just for fun, we just want to see your skill. You have nothing to loose and you could win a cool prize.

Contest Format

Round 1:

1. All films submitted to filmmakerswanted.com will be reviewed by a panel of judges consisting of local film directors and producers.
2. The top 10 films chosen by the judges will move onto round 2.

Round 2:

1. If your film is chosen as one of the top 10 from round one, then you will have 6 weeks to script, cast, shoot, and edit a new film (approx. 5 minutes).
2. The top ten filmmakers films will be made available to watch on filmmakerswanted.com and Bend Broadband VOD for public voting.
3. T.V. and radio ads will be made to get the word out and drive people to vote on the website. 

Winners

• Winners will be announced at the premeire screening on September 15th at McMenamins. All films will be shown in order of number of votes.
• Winners will recieve excellent prizes, so be sure to check the prize section on this page. 

Important Dates and Information!

• All videos must be uploaded and sent in by END OF AUGUST!!!!!!
• We need both a DVD (for television) and an Uploaded (for judges at filmmakerswanted.com) version of your short film
